Originating from Oaxaca, Pan de yema or “yolk bread”, contains several eggs and a few extra yolks, giving them their characteristic flaky texture and slightly yellow tone. It also contains anise for flavor and it’s topped with sesame seeds. If you truly want to enjoy it like the locals then pair it with a nice cup of Mexican hot chocolate. |
Pan de pueblo (village bread)
The most typical Mexican bread of our regions with it's traditional texture and flavor it is as true to Mexico as can be. Traditionally baked in clay, wood fired ovens. This pan dulce has a very distinct flavor since it is made with fermented yeast, cane sugar, cinnamon and lard. This type of bread is mainly found in humble small towns all over Mexico. It pairs well with a hot cup of cafe de olla. Plus this particular bread can be made vegan friendly. |
A concha consists of two parts, a sweet buttery bread roll and a crunchy cookie like topping.

PUERQUITOS
Mexican sweet-bread, typically made with piloncillo (unprocessed cane sugar).They have a cookie/cake like texture and a sweet warm honey like taste. They're definitely a staple in pan dulce and are enjoyed best with a glass of milk. |

GORDITAS DE NATAThe origin of these Rich, cookie like biscuits is traced back to Mexico City. They're incredibly popular since they're simple and slightly sweet made with clotted cream and cooked over a comal. These are a great companion for any hot or cold drink!
